Privacy policy.

The short version: AssemblyFlow doesn't collect, store, or transmit your data. The desktop app runs entirely on your church's computer — no telemetry, no phone-home, no analytics.

Short version: AssemblyFlow does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. The desktop application runs entirely on your church's computer with no telemetry, no phone-home, and no analytics. Your songs, services, settings, and license stay local. The only data we receive is what you voluntarily send us — Stripe payment information when you subscribe, and emails you send to support.

The AssemblyFlow desktop application

AssemblyFlow is offline-first software. When installed on your church's Windows computer, it:

  • Does not send any data to Straight Truth Press servers. No usage statistics, no crash reports, no telemetry, no analytics.
  • Stores all your data locally in your AssemblyFlow data folder (under %USERPROFILE%\Documents\AssemblyFlow): service plans, custom songs, settings, license key, CCLI usage logs.
  • Validates your subscription license offline using cryptographic signature verification. No license server contact required.
  • May check for a newer version on launch. If it does, our web server sees only a standard request log entry (IP address, timestamp) — nothing identifying you, your church, or your content. AssemblyFlow never downloads or installs an update on its own.

Optional features that contact the internet

Some AssemblyFlow features can reach the internet, but only when you opt in to using them:

  • Online Bible translations (ESV, API.Bible) — only when you configure their API keys and use those translations. Requests go directly to Crossway / API.Bible servers, not to us.
  • YouTube video download via yt-dlp — only when you paste a YouTube URL into the Add Video dialog. Downloads happen via the yt-dlp open-source tool you install separately. AssemblyFlow does not receive what you searched for or downloaded.
  • Streaming destinations (YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Zoom) — your stream connects directly to those platforms through OBS, not through us.
  • Web remote — runs an HTTP server on your local network for phone/tablet remote control. No data leaves your church's Wi-Fi.

What we collect when you subscribe

If you subscribe to AssemblyFlow (a paid plan for congregations of more than 50 members), payment is handled by Stripe. Straight Truth Press receives:

  • Your name and email address — for sending you the license blob and renewal notices.
  • Your church name — embedded in your license so we can re-issue it if you lose your email.
  • Your Stripe customer ID — for matching renewals and cancellations to the right church.

We do not receive your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details — those stay with Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

We do not sell, share, or rent your information to any third party. Ever. Your contact info exists for one purpose: sending you your license and renewal reminders.

Email communication

When you email support@assemblyflow.net, we retain the email thread so we can find context for follow-up support. We do not add you to any mailing list automatically.

The website (assemblyflow.net)

Our website is hosted on HostGator. Standard web-server access logs are kept (IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent) for troubleshooting and security purposes. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking on this site.

Children

AssemblyFlow is used in churches that include all ages, but the software itself is operated by adult AV volunteers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including minors.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the change to the AssemblyFlow website. Substantive changes will be announced via the renewal email cycle to active subscribers.
