v1.3.0
June 6, 2026

Image item type & one-click OBS scene setup

A seventh item type (Image) joins the lineup, and setting up OBS for livestream is now a single button instead of a manual Browser Source chore.

New

  • Image item type — project a Canva design, photo, or announcement graphic: any PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP, or GIF. Drag-and-drop or pick via dialog; shows full-screen on the projection. Brings the service item count to seven.
  • Auto-setup OBS scenes — after Test connection succeeds in the OBS integration dialog, one button creates three pre-configured scenes over the WebSocket connection: AssemblyFlow Worship (Browser Source pre-pointed at /obs at 1920×1080), AssemblyFlow Standby, and AssemblyFlow Blackout. No manual URL entry, no JSON export/import. Idempotent — re-runnable without breaking manual edits.
  • Distribution as .zip — the primary download is now AssemblyFlow-1.3.0.zip (67 MB), friendlier to browsers and antivirus. The direct AssemblyFlow-Setup-1.3.0.exe is still available.

Improved

  • Verse-phrase highlighter now applies the warm-yellow underline across all outputs at once — sanctuary projection, OBS Browser Source, virtual camera / NDI, and stage display.
  • Per-song display-mode chip (Auto / Sheet / Lyrics) is clearer, and the choice is non-destructive — the same hymn can be sheet music Sunday morning and lyrics Wednesday night.
  • Custom song library: bulk import now accepts .onsong and .md alongside .txt / .cho / .chopro / .crd; ChordPro directives auto-extracted, chord markers stripped.

Video item type

A sixth item type joins Songs, Scripture, Sermon PowerPoint, Pre-service countdown, and Announcement. Drop a local MP4, paste a YouTube URL, or point at a direct video URL — AssemblyFlow handles the rest.

New

  • Video item type — drop MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, or M4V onto the order; plays full-screen on the projection with audio routed through your OBS livestream
  • YouTube auto-download — paste any youtube.com or youtu.be URL and click Download from YouTube. yt-dlp caches the MP4 at data/videos/yt-dlp-cache/<id>.mp4 for instant re-play
  • Direct video URLs — paste an .mp4, .webm, or HLS .m3u8 URL; AssemblyFlow streams it in real time
  • Live controls — preview pane shows Pause / Resume / Restart while a video is projecting; switching items stops the video and resets state
  • One-time setup for YouTube downloads: winget install yt-dlp.yt-dlp

Pre-1.0
Internal development

Pre-release development

AssemblyFlow was used and refined privately before this first public release, so there is no pre-1.0 changelog — there were no public users to log changes for. The next entry on this page will be the first patch release after 1.0.
